My family and I will be eternally grateful

My father passed away on Wednesday morning.  I want to thank you for everything you have done for him. You were the angel he needed at the time you showed up. You gave him an opportunity to fight for his life and for his family to be by his side everyday of his last days. My family and I will be eternally grateful for what you did for him and for us.  Please pass my gratitude to the staff of Midstream@care that were involved in his care. Thanks for everything everyone has done for him, especially for their patience as my father was not an easy patient to care for.  May God grant all of you the grace and strength to continue to do your work with diligence🙏

Die sorg wat my ma ontvang het by Care@midstream was ‘n riem onder my hart. Van die skoonmakers, verpleegsters en susters het my ma die beste diens gegee. Die spanning was verlig met die wete dat my ma so goed versorg was. Die mediese span en maatskaplike werkster, asook die terapeute het my ma se belange ter harte geneem.

I was discharged yesterday from your facility…and sad to go!

The service provided was really outstanding. Everyone, from the cleaners up, were happy, helpful and supportive in helping me to improve.

I was transferred from a hospital where I had terrible service and very little care. I think you need to send your nurses and carers there to teach and show.

I was a nurse/Sr myself before being boarded with MS so I am aware of the right way and the wrong way. After many years of hospital visits now as a patient, it is so refreshing to experience the right way. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received. I also cannot single anyone out (except maybe Comfort who helped me a lot) as everyone was so caring.

The one quote that I think sums it up is I rang the bell and apologized for being a pain as I just wanted a cup of coffee if the person had time and her answer was, “You’re not a pain, we do it with love!” Wow 👏👏

The physio I received from Michelle and her assistants and the OT from Sanet and Nadia have really set me on the road to being functional again. That means so much. I must now just maintain everything they showed me 🙈😄.

Even the food I received was enjoyable (and I’m on a difficult diet) so kudos to the kitchen staff.

A big “Thank you “ to everyone involved in running your facility and all the staff.

I can recommend you 100%.

Mr and Mrs. Steenkamp

Both Mr and Mrs. Steenkamp would like to thank all the medical staff who worked closely with Mr Steenkamp. They appreciate the love and care he received and are in complete awe of the facility and its staff. Mr Steenkamp had a long 3-month journey in hospital, with multiple setbacks including renal failure and being dependent on a ventilator fighting for his life.

Recently he was able to walk out of the Care@Midstream, with a new lease on life! Thank you, team!

Always nice to have a friend visiting. Mr Godlo was a patient with Care@Midstream in 2021 after a prolonged hospital stay, he was very weak initially but gradually improved with the help of his therapy team. He came to say thank you to Meagan and Nadia.

I would just like to extend my thanks, gratitude and appreciation to all staff.  It would not be fair to single out one or 2 staff members in particular as I was always treated with kindness, care, courtesy, respect and friendliness by all concerned.  I probably did show my frustration on a number of occasions (apologies to Maxine and Kwa Kwa) in particular. I considered it to be the in and out of hospital etc. for the last 3 and half years and the frustration of having all the procedures I have had. Then I thought that maybe I am going through a midlife crisis (I look younger than I am hehehe), but considering that my anatomy does not fit the description of a Porsche driver and the price of petrol, a mobility scooter for now is probably on the cards.  I hope to only come back here as a visitor to say hello, or perhaps for physio when I get my other prosthetic.  Once again, thank you and please extend my gratitude and appreciation to all concerned.  I will no doubt recommend Midstream to any one who needs your type of specialist care.
